Prickly Rose 'Woods Rose' (Rosa woodsii)
This drought tolerant native shrub has red bark and fragrant, pink flowers in summer. In autumn, its foliage turns orange-red and the flowers turn into bright red rose hips. Rose hips also can be used by us in many ways for food or medicine. Plant this shrub in a site with lots of space. Roses will sucker and can be aggressive and hard to remove once established.
