Showy Locoweed's silvery, silky-hairy, stems topped with vibrant spikes of lavender flowers, provide beautiful contrasting colours and texture that are very showy in the garden. This is a very tough wildflower and perfect for rock gardens, and exposed sunny gardens. It is deep rooted and drought tolerant. Locoweed is a legume species (member of the pea family), which harbours beneficial bacteria called rhizobia on their roots.
